Parks Commission

The Parks Commission meets at 6:30 PM on the 4th Tuesday of every month in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 502 Atlantic Avenue.  Work sessions are scheduled as needed. The five members of the Commission are appointed from the community for three years staggered terms.  Members must be residents of the City of Waverly.  The Parks Commission advises the Council on both short and long-term park capital requirements and management.  The Commission recommends the type and scale of playground equipment and recreational facilities that should be included in each of the City's seven parks. The Commission reviews, updates and maintains the parks portion of the City's Comprehensive Plan.
